LOCATION
In the region of scapula, in the centre of suprascapular fossa, directly above Tianzhong (SI 11), in the depression when the arm is lifted.
Features
Meeting point of Small Intestine, Large Intestine, Triple energizer and Gallbladder Meridians.
Body Inches (cun)
Each person has his/her own personal body inches.
One cun is equal to the width of the Knuckle of the thumb.
Nerves, vascular
The posterior branch and accessory nerve of the supraclavicular nerve, the deep layer is the suprascapular nerve, and the suprascapular arteries and veins.
Indication
Good for rotator cuff. Tendinitis of supraspinatus muscle，frozen Shoulder，scapular neuralgia；bronchitis. Local point for shoulder, scapula and/or arm pain, numbness, weakness along the course of the Meridian.
Combinations
Shoulder pain：SI 12 & SI 17.
穴位
在肩胛部，岡上窩中央，天宗直上，舉臂有凹陷處。
特點
交會穴，通手陽明、手、足少陽。
同身寸
針灸取穴比量法。出自《千金要方》。
是指以患者本人體表的某些部位折定分寸，
作为量取穴位的長度單位。

鎖骨上神經後支和副神經，深層為肩胛上神經，及肩胛上動、靜脈。
適應症
岡上肌腱炎，肩周炎，肩胛神經痛；支氣管炎等。
