LOCATION
In the depression superios to the styloid process of the radius.
1.5 cun above the wrist crease, superior to the styloid process of the radius (not on the LU 5 – LU 9 line in TCM). Japanese LU 7 is found proximal to the styloid process and it is on the LU 5 – LU 9 line.
Features
The hand-taiyin meridian branches from this point to connect the Hand -Yangming meridian.
Body Inches (cun)
Each person has his/her own personal body inches.
One cun is equal to the width of the Knuckle of the thumb.
Nerves, vascular
Posterior branchial cutaneous nerve ， radial nerve branches ， cephalic vein ，adial artery and vein branches.
Indication
Cough , asthma, shortness of breathe, nasal obstruction.
Headache, neck stiffness, tothache, swollen and painful throat, facial palsy
Wrist pain, carpal tunnel syndrome.
Forthumb disorder.

穴位
在橈骨莖突的凹陷上。在大拇指掌跟之前臂橈側緣，橈骨莖突上方， 腕橫紋上1.5寸。當肱橈肌與拇長展肌腱之間。
特點
《靈樞‧經脈》：「去腕一寸半，別走陽明也。」
絡穴。
八脈交會穴之一，通任脈。
同身寸
針灸取穴比量法。出自《千金要方》。
是指以患者本人體表的某些部位折定分寸，
作为量取穴位的長度單位。
穴區神經血管
前臂外側皮神經和橈神經淺支的混合支。
頭靜脈，橈側動，靜脈分支。
適應症
咳嗽，感冒，氣喘，咽喉痛， 偏正頭痛， 面神經麻痹，面神經痙攣，三叉神經痛，口眼 歪斜， 牙痛，頸項痛，掌中熱，腕痛無 力，半身不遂，小便熱，陰莖痛，尿血，遺精， 癮疹，驚癇。
