On the dorsum of the foot, in the depression distal to the junction of 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones.

Medial dorsal cutaneous nerve, dorsal venous branches.
Indication
gestritis，enteritis；paralysis of the lower limbs，foot sprain；nephritis，conjunctivitis，pleurisy。Similar actions to ST 44 but used less often – will clear heat from the channel and organ. Classically noted for clearing facial pain and/or edema / swelling. May be used for general edema. Abdominal pain, bloating, borborygmus, frequent belching. Local point for pain and/or swelling of the dorsum of the foot.
Combinations
Swollen face and eyes ：ST 43 & LU 07.
Facial swelling：ST 43 & GV 23 & GV 22 & GV 21 & SP 04.
Swollen tarsal：ST 43 & ST 44 & LR 03.
Bowel and pain：ST 43 & LI 07 & SP 07 & KI 07 & BL 48.
Postpartum frequent burping：ST 43 & LR 14.
穴位
在足背，當第2、3跖骨結合部前方凹陷處。
特點
輸（木）穴。
同身寸
針灸取穴比量法。出自《千金要方》。
是指以患者本人體表的某些部位折定分寸，
作为量取穴位的長度單位。

足背內側皮神經，足背靜脈網。
適應症
胃炎，腸炎；下肢癱瘓，足扭傷；腎炎，結膜炎，胸膜炎。
