Posterior to the ear, along a curved line drawn from GB 9 to GB 12 running within the hairline and more or less parallel to the line of the rim of the ear, 1/3 from GB12.

Meeting point of Bladder and Gallbladder Meridians.
Body Inches (cun)
Each person has his/her own personal body inches.
One cun is equal to the width of the Knuckle of the thumb.
Nerves, vascular
The anastomotic branches of the greater occipital nerve and the minor occipital nerve, and the branches of the arteries and veins behind the ears.
Indication
Headache，trigeminal neuralgia，meningitis，limbs spasmseizures；pharyngolaryngitis，nervous tinnitus，deafness，hyperthyroidism；cerebral vascular disease，chest pain，bronchitis。
Combinations
Vertigo，dizziness，fainting：GB 11 & GB 20 & GB 43 & LR 03.
Headache：GB 11 & GV 18.
Tinnitus，deafness：GB 11 & SI 19 & GB 02 & TE 17.
Chest and hypochondrium pain：GB 11 & PC 06 & GB 34.
穴位
在頭部，當耳後乳突的後上方，天衝與完骨的中三分與下三分交點處。
特點
交會穴，通足太陽。
同身寸
針灸取穴比量法。出自《千金要方》。
是指以患者本人體表的某些部位折定分寸，
作为量取穴位的長度單位。
穴區神經血管
枕大神經和枕小神經吻合支，耳後動、靜脈分支。
適應症
頭痛，三叉神經痛，腦膜炎，四肢痙攣抽搐；喉炎，神經性耳鳴，耳聾，甲狀腺腫；腦血管病，胸痛，支氣管炎。
