In front of the intertragic notch, on the posterior border of the condylar process of the mandible in the depression when the mouth is open.
Features
This point should be found with the mouth wide open.
Body Inches (cun)

Great auricular nerve, facial nerve, superficial temporal artery.
Indication
Sudden deafness，otitis media，boil in the external auditory canal，temporomandibular joint dysfunction，mumps，toothache，masticatory muscle spasm；facial paralysis，cerebrovascular sequelae. Ear issues (along with TH 21 & SI 19) – tinnius, otitis media, deafness. Eliminate wind locally – TMJ disorder, facial paralysis, trigeminal neuralgia, toothache.
Combinations
Eyes pain，eye rednesss，cloudiness of cornea: GB 02 & BL 01 & TE 23 & BL 02.
Headache：GB 02 & ST 08 & EX-HN3 & LR 03.
Trigeminal neuralgia：GB 02 & LI 04 & EX-HN5 & SI 18.
Trigeminal neuralgia(3rd.)：GB 02 & ST 06 & ST 05 & TE 17 &SI 17.
Tinnitus as cicadas：GB 02 & SI 19.
Tinnitus：GB 02 & LI 04.
Deafness with qi stagnation：GB 02 & TE 17.

在面部，當耳屏間切跡的前方，下頜骨髁突的後緣，張口有凹陷處。

張大嘴巴的情況下找此穴點。

作为量取穴位的長度單位。
穴區神經血管
耳大神經，面神經，顳淺動脈。
適應症
突發性耳聾，中耳炎，外耳道癤，顳關節功能紊亂，腮腺炎，牙痛，咀嚼肌痙攣；面神經麻痺，腦血管後遺症。
