Body Inches (cun)

One cun is equal to the width of the Knuckle of the thumb.
Nerves, vascular
The fourth common plantar nerve and dorsal lateral cutaneous nerve, the fourth common arteries and veins.
Indication
Headache，inner ear vertigo，dizziness，fainting，insomnia，epilepsy，schizophCVia，sequelae of cerebral vascular disease；psoas strain，paralysis of the lower limbs，arthritis，ankle sprain. With SI 3 for low back pain, difficulty walking, spinal problems as well as wind-cold effecting the taiyang channels: stiff neck a/or shoulders, occipital headache, etc. Insomnia, nervousness (especially late at night), combine with KI 6.
Combinations
Vertigo，dizziness，fainting：GB 12 & BL 62 & LR 03.
Lumbago：BL 62 & LR 03.
Flaccidity of the lower limbs：BL 62 & GB 34 & ST 36.
Epilepsy disease：SI 03 & SI 02 & BL 62.
穴位
在足外側，足小趾本節（第5跖趾關節）的後方，赤白肉際處。
特點
八脈交會穴之一，通於陽蹻脈；輸（木）穴。
同身寸
針灸取穴比量法。出自《千金要方》。
是指以患者本人體表的某些部位折定分寸，
作为量取穴位的長度單位。
穴區神經血管
第四跖底總神經及足背外側皮神經，第四趾底總動、靜脈。
適應症
頭痛，內耳性眩暈，失眠，癲癇，精神分裂症，腦血管病後遺症；腰肌勞損，下肢癱瘓，關節炎，踝關節扭傷。

眩暈：1.完骨 2.申脈 3.太衝
腰痛不能舉：1.申脈 2.太衝
下肢痿痺：1.申脈 2.陽陵泉 3.足三里
癲疾：1.後溪 2.前谷 3.申脈
