One cun is equal to the width of the Knuckle of the thumb.
Nerves, vascular
The lateral cutaneous branch of the posterior branch of the tenth thoracic nerve, the lateral branch of the posterior branch of the first lumbar nerve, and the posterior branch of the first lumbar artery and vein.
Indication
Gestritis，gastrospasm，indigestion，enteritis；nephritis，urinary retention，spermatorrhea；ascites，neurasthenia，psoas strain. As Triple Heater Shu this point effects conditions related to imbalances between the upper and lower parts of the body especially those related to water: edema, bloating, ascites, borborygmus, difficult or painful urination, urinary retention.
Combinations
Bowel：BL 22 & BL 27 & BL 34 & BL 49 & LR 13.
Swelling，edema，difficulty in urination：BL 22 & CV 05. (Combining transport and alarm points)
Nephritis：BL 22 & BL 24 & BL 25 & ST 36.
Diabetes insipinGVs：BL 22 & CV 04 & BL 23 & BL 24
Pain in the lumbar spine，ankylosing sporidylitis：BL 22 & GV 12 & GV 04.

在腰部，當第1腰椎棘突下，旁開1.5寸。

三焦背俞穴。
同身寸
針灸取穴比量法。出自《千金要方》。
是指以患者本人體表的某些部位折定分寸，
作为量取穴位的長度單位。
穴區神經血管
第十胸神經後支的外側皮支，第一腰神經後支的外側支，第一腰動、靜脈後支。
適應症
胃炎，胃痙攣，消化不良，腸炎；腎炎，尿瀦留，遺精；腹水，神經衰弱，腰肌勞損等。
