On the back, level with the lower border of the spinous process of the 11th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 cun lateral to the posterior midline.

Each person has his/her own personal body inches.
One cun is equal to the width of the Knuckle of the thumb.
Nerves, vascular
The inner and outer skin branches of the posterior branches of the eleventh and twelfth thoracic nerves, and the medial branches of the posterior branches of intercostal arteries and veins.
Indication
Ulcer，gestritis，gastroptosis，gastrospasm，gastric dilatation，gastrorrhagia，neurological vomiting，indigestion，enteritis，diarrhea，hepatitis；anemia，progressive myodystrophy，hepatomegaly，splenomegalia，bleeding disorders/chronic anemia，nephroptosis，irregular menstruation，diabetes，nephritis，childCV night blindness，urticaria. Main point for all Spleen problems: low energy, fatigue, prolapses, damp related conditions a/or bleeding disorders. Commonly used for SP Qi Deficiency: fatigue, lack of appetite, abdominal bloating a/or distention, undigested food in the stools, chronic diarrhea a/or belching.
Combinations
Stomach pain，abdominal distension：BL 20 & LR 13.

Coughing up of blood hemoptysis，hematochezia：BL 20 & BL 17 & GV 14.
Rectal prolapse，constipation：BL 20 & ST 36.

在背部，當第十一胸椎棘突下，旁開1.5寸處。

脾之背俞穴。
同身寸
針灸取穴比量法。出自《千金要方》。
是指以患者本人體表的某些部位折定分寸，
作为量取穴位的長度單位。
穴區神經血管
第十一、十二胸神經後支的內、外側皮支，並有肋間動、靜脈後支的內側支。
適應症
胃潰瘍，胃炎，胃下垂，胃痙攣，胃擴張，胃出血，神經性嘔吐，消化不良，腸炎，痢疾，肝炎；貧血，進行性肌營養不良，肝脾腫大，慢性出血性疾病，腎下垂，月經不調，糖尿病，腎炎，小兒夜盲，蕁麻疹等。
