LOCATION
With the patient in a sitting position and patient’s head slightly tilting backwards, the point is directly above the Adam’s apple, and on the midpoint of the upper border of the hyoid bone.

Crossing point of connecting vessel and Yinwei Meridian.
Body Inches (cun)
Each person has his/her own personal body inches.
One cun is equal to the width of the Knuckle of the thumb.
Nerves, vascular
The branches of the cervical cutaneous nerve, the branches of the hypoglossal nerve and the glossopharyngeal nerve, and the anterior jugular vein.
Indication
Sublingual pain and swelling，tongue shrink，sudden loss of voice，mouth sores，acute pharyngitis，strokeaphasia，glossitis，vocal cord paralysis，base of the tongue muscle atrophy. Main point for speech/mouth disorders, often used in stroke vicitims – swelling and pain in the throat/tongue area, stiff tongue, inability to speak, difficulty swallowing. SaLRation issues – excessive drooling or dry mouth/thirst.
Precautions:
This point is contraindicated to moxibustion.

在頸部，當前正中線上，結喉上方，舌骨上緣凹陷處。

交會穴，通陰維脈。

作为量取穴位的長度單位。

頸皮神經的分支，舌下神經和舌咽神經的分支，及頸前靜脈。
適應症
舌下腫痛，舌根縮急，舌縱涎出，暴喑，口舌生瘡，喉痺，中風失語，舌炎，聲帶麻痺，舌根部肌肉萎縮。
