On the lateral aspect of the thigh, 2 cun inferior to Fengchi (GB31) or 5 cun superior to the popliteal crease, between vastus lateralis and biceps femoris.

Nerves, vascular
The lateral femoral cutaneous nerve, the muscular branch of the femoral nerve, and the muscular branch of the lateral femoral circumflex artery and vein.
Indication
Lower limb paralysis，sciatica，knee arthritis，gastrocnemius muscle spasm.
Combinations
hypochondrium pain：GB 40 & GB 32.
flaccidity of the lower limbs：GB 32 & GB 30 & GB 34 & ST 36.
Numbness/pain on the lateralis lower limbs：GB 32 & ST 33.
Wilting disease ：GB 32 & GB 30 & ST 36 & BL 13.
穴位
在大腿外側，膕橫紋上5寸，當股外側肌與肱二頭肌之間；或於風市穴直下2寸處。
