Shingles, don't run away!

My daughters and I went for experiencing the fitness and sauna about one month ago. My lower back was so sore after the work out and made me couldn’t sleep well. I felt I had no any energy at all. On the other morning of the third day, I noticed a few needle-like red spots showing on my left arm and left thigh that looked like the marks from flea or spider bite. I thought that they would be gone away as long as I didn’t grab them for two or three days, but they didn’t. It didn’t take too long after this happened. There were many tiny blisters formed on my belly and spread to the lower back which I found in the next day .

At this time, I remembered that my mother had been suffered from a viral disease called shingles (Note), many years ago. The symptoms were extremely painful to her, so my mother reminded me to the hospital as soon as possible which the special injection could be given. It was too late for me since I had already missed the three-day golden treatment time period. Therefore I had to find some other therapies for it (see below for details). Thanks for goodness, the blisters stopped festering and spreading after two days of those treatments. The festering areas gradually scabbed in about a week. One month later, except for a few slightly scabs and itching, there was no sign of shingles regeneration when I checked the affected areas. I’m very grateful to my mother who showed me her experience and my daughter who did the massage and get the medicine for me. And also the valuable resources from the internet. I am glad I got well and a chance to share my experience here with everyone as follows: 

Day 1. No scratch! No panic! My daughter did the researches for me that the mental stress will accelerate the deterioration of the disease.

Day 2. Remove the waist elastics until the disease is healed.

Day 3. Search for the alternative treatments.

Day 4~8. Applying Three treatments together as follows:

 

3-1 Patting the meridians

First, I used a thin coat covering my skin for protection. Second, I choose a softer-kind tool (P.4) and then followed the channels of the meridian to pat a complete set of the 12 meridians in order to check out the hidden ailments including the waist. Therefore I found those extremely painful locations on my left forehead, arm, shoulder blade, and thigh when I patting them. Here is a tip which the more painful on the skin of the meridians, I patted there longer and more often. Finally, instead of drink warm water after the patting, I got my own special drink recipe below to drink during and after the patting.

3-2 Apply medicine for shingles My daughter bought and applied the medicine (P.5) for me to keep the shingles dry and to avoid infection since she saw my blisters had been rubbed by my clothes. And also my sweat were leading to erosion of the affected areas. Therefore I use the way to dry-clean my body daily for keeping the shingles dry all the time.

3-3 Drink a lot of porridge I got no appetite and very very tired during the shingles period, but I am even more afraid of being haunted by the pains from shingles. Therefore I sticked to drinking porridge soup (recipe as below) as much as I can and exercise every day. The more sweat I’d got the more tired I felt so I took the breaks for a rest more.

【Millet Porridge Soup Recipe】

Method: Boil all the following ingredients into porridge.
Ingredients: Millet 1 cup Rice 0.2 cup Angelica sinensis 6 pieces Astragalus root 3 pieces Water 2.5 liters

 

Day 30.
My discovery from meridian treatment after healing.

I started using this, 3 in 1, treatment to my whole body when the fourth day I found my shingles expanded rapidly. I patted my whole body’s meridians for two days and then patted the local painful areas in the next few days.

I awarded something different from before which in the day 1 and 2, I felt the soreness and pains bothering and then suddenly escaping from the deep down areas of my lower back. At that time I had been pressed my lower back but I could not find any pain points inside there.

On the third day, when I saw the blisters spreading on my skin, I pressed but still could not find the pain points which were the acupints I should took care of inside my the waist. Only till I changed my way to the “meridian patting”, I did find the familiar feelings of the “pain”. No wonder what following was a massive, extreme amount of “severe pain” that came out from my subcutaneous layer and made me can’t stopped moaning.

“Who wants to be patted like this?” I suddenly had the question mark flying through my head that I couldn’t help laughing at, because of even myself would answer, No! I totally surrendered to it after only a two-day patting. 🤣 But the pain is worth it after all because it’s worked! Only then I did realize that the “twelve musculature and skin zones” introduced by ancient Meridian books was actually in “here”.

Before getting the shingles, I would patrol and press acupoints on the 14 meridians when my body was uncomfortable. I could find the affected areas most of the time but not in this time. I thought I was too tired to do it but now I have noticed these zones by patting on my body. This experience made me realized that using the “patting skills” is an effective way to treat these kind of symptoms on the skin.

It is a viral infection that causes a painful rash with band-liked distribution and the occurrence of small blisters. It is caused by the varicella-zoster virus — the same virus that causes chickenpox. After you’ve had chickenpox, the virus lies inactive in nerve tissue near your spinal cord and brain. Years later, the virus may reactivate as shingles.
