Sore and frowning between The Eyebrows
Acu Notes by Sunnyfish 20220601
“Why do you keep rubbing your eyes, is it because your eyes are too dry?” I asked when I was looking at my daughter who was sitting in front of the TV and poking her eyebrows with two index fingers this evening.”Do you need eye drops?” I said.
“… …” , my daughter shook her head, locked her eyebrows deeply. She was looking at me and continuing to poke without a word at the same time.
“Is that a headache? Or was it caused by a stiff neck you felt yesterday?” I keep guessing and said, “would you want me to do some acupressure for you to find out where is the problem from your meridian which causing you so uncomfortable?”
She nodded her head and then shook again during her “work”.
“OK then, maybe you want to give it a try by yourself? I’d bring you a massager if you like.”
She couldn’t help my repeated recommendation, so she finally agreed to try it herself.I took out my massager to her immediately. Then I pointed at her eyebrows with my fingers, then I said,
“According to this area is the starting point of the bladder meridian, you might press all the way down to the end of the Bladder Meridian …” I demonstrated to her while I was talking.
“You may want to press more frequently on the spots where you found the pain is located”, I said. Then, I heard her make a sound when I pressed on top of her head. “Is here uncomfortable?”, I asked.
“Um…” she replied.
Therefore, I pressed her top head several times, and then pressed down along her bladder meridian to her back.
“Tell me where else it hurts,” I reminded her.
“It hurts there too!” she said.
So I pressed on her meridian between the shoulder blades for a few rounds. After I felt her back relaxed, I kept pressing down to her lower back. At this point, my daughter started chatting with me and kept wriggling around. She said,
“I feel sore and tighten when you pressing the top of my head. Then I felt pains again when you pressing my back along my shoulder blades. But at the some time the tightness between my eyebrows was gone.
Yes indeed, I never saw her poking her eyebrows with the fingers again for the rest of the night.
